
Pasadena Bead and Design Show has 300 exhibitors, workshops, and lectures, which are chosen by juried application and by invitation, from wearable art, jewelry, fiber, bead making, lapidary, art couture, glass, textiles, embellishment, metalwork, ceramics, enameling, collectibles, and interior décor –together with wholesale artisan suppliers to the trade. The objective is to bring art and design together in an elegant forum. Many exhibitors have achieved international fame with intricately patterned motifs and handwork: naturally colored wools, silks, and cottons, handmade ceramic beads, hand-painted silks, art wear, lampworked beads, hats, Shibori clothing, gold and silver, pearls, cloisonné, dZi beads, silk flowers, European textiles, Pyu, Peking glass, polymer clay jewelry, tribal textiles, German marble beads, hand-woven shawls, scarves, lariats, artistic findings, ethnic beads, stained glass, plique-a-jour, carved jade, enameled copper, art jewelry, Lao textiles, antique beads, Baltic amber, Japanese kimonos, Egyptian silver, hand-painted fibers, Swarovski crystal, handmade purses, mosaics, raku beads, amulets, wearable collage, handmade leather shoes, precious gemstones, hand dyed ribbons, Jacquard tapestry, silk organza, tribal jewelry, kilims, Pumtek beads, gold beads, carpets, and hand-dyed paper. Attendees will appreciate the organized structure of the show, which helps the eye sort out the many beautiful objects. Exhibitors are located in the ballrooms, showrooms, and conference rooms on the ground floor inside the Hilton Pasadena.
